In the first of the Jeff Crowe Semi-Finals, Takapuna won the toss and elected to bat first. After an early wicket, Quinn Sunde (85 off 120) and Ed Middleton (75 off 86) came together and put on 149 for the 2nd wicket, moving Takapuna into a strong position. Once Middleton was dismissed, Michael Sclanders came to the crease and carried on the moment, scoring a run-a-ball 40. Harry Cullen-Hieatt (2/49 off 10) and Nikith Perera (2/68 off 10) took two wickets each as Takapuna went on to set Parnell a competitive 272 for victory. Peter Ruffell removed both openers early on his way to picking up 4/50 from his nine overs, including 3 of the first four wickets. James Nelson made 46 of 69, coming in at 3. However, it was the 90-run 5th wicket partnership between Daniel Presland (62 off 84) and Flynn McGregor-Sumpter (91* off 84) that brought Parnell back into the game. Contributions from the lower-middle order batting with McGregor-Sumpter allowed him to guide Parnell to victory, winning by 3 wickets and with 13 balls remaining and booking their slot in the Jeff Crowe Final.

The second of the Jeff Crowe Semi-Finals saw Auckland University host North Shore in a rain effected 36 Overs a side match. Auckland Uni won the toss and elected to bat first, and through their top 4 batters, they got their side into a commanding position. Openers Riley McCullum (52 off 75) and Jacob Bainbridge (24 off 37) put on 62 for the first wicket, followed by another 71 runs for the 2nd as Nathan Robinson (67 off 53) joined McCullum. Angus Olliver gained a promotion to carry on the momentum and did exactly that, hitting three boundaries and two 6s on his way to 26 off just eight balls. North Shore were able to bring themselves back into the game through Juandre Johnson (4/36), restricting Uni to 232 from their 36 overs. Olliver gave Uni the dream start with the ball, picking up the big wicket of Johnson off the first ball of the game. Four of the top five made starts, with only Riley Mudford able to make it past 50, scoring 64 off 54. Mudford was able to put on 53 with Daniel ODriscoll (38 off 53) and 64 with Max Clarke (29 off 25); however, with few other contributions, it made the chase tough. Olliver went on to take 3/23 from his seven overs, who, along with Nikheil Bhana (2/41) and Kieran Mackenzie (2/40), managed to restrict North Shore to 204 from their 36 Overs booking Auckland University the spot in the Jeff Crowe Final

Howick Pakuranga won the toss and sent Birkenhead in to bat in the first of the Richard Jones One Day Semi Finals. Opener Parikshith Narsimhan top-scored with 72 and was well supported by Brian Barnard, who made it to 50, the pair putting on 89 for the 3rd wicket. James O’Brien (30) and Mayur Masand (24* off 21) helped finish the innings and take Birkenhead’s score up to 219. Azharudin Lambat picked up 3/40 with 2fers for Cain Bethune (2/41), Selwin Sanjay (2/33), and Josh McGregor (2/22) helped take the 10 wickets. Adam Jones led the charge for the hosts as he went on to make 38 opening the batting. David Winn carried his good form from Saturday with 32; however, they were the only two to make it past 30 with three other batters making 20s but unable to kick on. Wickets were shared between all the Birkenhead bowlers, Mayur Masand (2/42), Narsimhan (2/50), Damen Oelofse (2/32), and Deelaka Weeraratne (2/16) all picking up 2fers, helping to bowl Howick out for 183, leading Birkenhead to a 36 run victory and a place in the Richard Jones Cup Final and a chance for promotion.

In the second of the Richard Jones One Day Semi-Finals, Eden Roskill won the toss and elected to bat first. Taine Bayly dismissed both openers early on his way to take 4/28 off his 10 overs, putting the hosts under the pump early. Harjot Johal (28 off 27) and Hemadri Chakraborty (49 off 66) did what they could to get their side to a competitive total. Dylan Taylor picked up 3/29 from his nine overs, and Ross Ter Braak took 2/36 as Grafton went on to bowl Roskill out for 151. Bayly backed up his bowling with a quick fire 28 off 11 while opening the batting, along with Taylor (37 off 34) got Grafton off to a flier and putting them in the drivers seat. Kyle Ruffell came in at three and anchored the innings, top-scoring with 39, until he was dismissed by Jay Patel. Patel went on to take four quick wickets (4/17 from 9), giving Roskill a glimmer of hope. Ter Braak (8*) and Vinit Mehta (16*) managed to get the remaining 24 runs to ensure Grafton won on DLS and book their place in the Richard Jones final against Birkenhead with a chance of gaining promotion.

Parnell resumed day 2 on 5/120, 96 runs behind Bays. In a tense first session, Parnell’s in-batter Flynn McGregor-Sumpter managed to steer his side through to a first innings win, making 38 off 86, helping to guide Jack Dymond to 31 off 53 in a vital partnership, breaking the back of the chase. Declaring just ahead, and right on the brink of lunch, that was the last bit of cricket that was played as the rain came and washed out the rest of the day due to a wet block.

In another one-innings affair, Auckland University resumed Day 2 at 1/28, just under 250 runs behind Takapuna’s score. Taking as much of the day as possible, Auckland Uni tried to manoeuvre themselves into a strong position through Kieran Mackenzie (52) and Aakash Prasad as they put on 61 for the third wicket. Matt Jones (3/31 off 12) helped ensure that Uni never got too close, and Peter Ruffell’s 5fer (5/63) put the nail in the coffin helping to bowl Uni out for 220, securing the first innings victory for Takapuna.

Suburbs New Lynn resumed Day 2 at 7/119, needing 67 to win the first innings. Will Clarke took a wicket to lift his tally to 5 for the innings (5/67); however, through some lower order runs from Sam Cook (40), Suburbs secured vital first innings points.

Training by 10 at the start of their second innings, Shore tried to set up a game and salvage some points from the fixture, declaring 5/197 from 30 overs. Cooper Harrison-Tubb (58) and Juandre Johnson (52) both made it past 50.

Playing out for the draw, Suburbs found themselves in some early trouble thanks to a Rory Bessell 4fer (4/19), however the experience of Michael Barry (22* off 45) and Adi Ashok (0* off 15) managed to see their side through to a draw ensuring that no outright points were lost.

Cornwall resumed Day 2 on 2/31, 215 runs behind Grafton’s total. There were contributions all the way through Cornwall’s batting card, with only Rohit Rajagopal (65) making it past 50. Ross Ter Braak was the pick of the bowlers with 3/52. However, it was a vital 93-run 8th wicket partnership between Rajagopal and Rahman Hekmat (33), taking Cornwall past Grafton’s score and securing first-inning points.

Ellerslie began their first batting innings at the resumption of play on day 2. Openers Kuvam Manon (31 off 86) and Shannon Wimalaratne (24 off 47) got their side off to a solid start with the first wicket partnership of 55. The top scorer from the innings was Santosh Iyer, with 50 off 103. Waitakere managed to get through Ellerslie with enough time and runs to enforce the follow-on to push for an outright result. With limited time and overs remaining in the day, Waitakere managed to take only the three wickets, meaning Waitakere won the match on first innings.

Starting the day at 4/76 in their first innings, Papatoetoe would go on to add 98 runs to their overnight total in what was to be an eventful day with 21 wickets falling on it. Aditya Rangwani took 5/31 for Hibiscus, who, along with Ankit Desai (3/53), went on to bowl Papatoetoe out for 174 in their first innings.

Hibiscus Coast pressed the accelerator in their second innings, scoring 180 off just 22.1 overs, in an innings which included Jithin Ramachandran scoring 100* off just 67 balls. Manav Kumar took 3/42.

Chasing 274 to take the outright win, Papatoetoe’s opener Prabjyot Rehal batted through the majority of their innings, scoring 81 off 78, with a fighting unbeaten 31 off 53 for Aseem Wadhwa not enough to stop Hibiscus from taking both first innings and outright points from the weekend.

Another eventful game on Saturday with Eden Roskill resuming Day 2 at 3/67. Damam Bhatti made the most of his promotion up the order, returning the top score of 95 for the Roskill side, putting on 136 with Syed Mujtaba (76) and 65 with Hemadri Chakraborty (68 off 50). Chakraborty put on another 67 with Rajat Choudhary (59* off 47) for the 6th wicket; in doing so, Roskill went past Birkenhead’s score, securing first innings points.

Trying to get the outright win, Birkenhead blasted their way to 219 off 22 overs thanks to an unbeaten 66 off 35 from Brian Barnard and 55 off 25 for Mayur Masand, setting Roskill 207 to win outright.

With time running out of the day, Roskill gave the chase every chance but fell 15 runs short. Swayam Desai made 51 off 38, and Syed Mujtaba made 44 off 35 as Roskill managed to make 192 from their 19 overs. Eden Roskill walking away with first innings points.

Howick Pakuranga resumed Day 2 at 4/194 with David Winn unbeaten on 62. Winn would go on to amass a massive 177 off just 110 balls, putting Howick well and truly in the driver’s seat for the match. Howick declared at 6/353, with a 226 run lead.

Kumeu’s opener, Vinit Karmarkar, held on for 59 off 99, and Kieran Munro made 64 off 61; however, it was the Howick bowlers that proved too strong. Sam Molloy (3/21) and Selwin Sanjay (3/53) picked up three wickets each to help bowl Kumeu out for 180, securing first innings and outright points and winning by an innings and 46 runs.

North Shore won the toss and elected to bat first against Takapuna. Jessie Canty, opening the batting, played the anchoring role and top scored with 30. Jess Smith (25 off 21) and Raiha Reynolds (22 off 17) finished the innings unbeaten and were the only batters able to strike at better than a run a ball. Leah Watton (1/25), Olivia Ross (1/6) and Nellie Chapman (1/23) were the wicket takers, as Shore set the visitors 145 to win. Monique Way (17) and Taila Hurley (37 off 35) set the tone and put on 57 for the first wicket. North Shore were good in the field with all four of the wickets to fall were through runouts, however it was Mya Kingi, coming in at 3, who top scored and saw her side home with an unbeaten 44 off 32, supported by Olivia Ross (16* off 12), winning the last over thriller by 6 wickets and 2 balls remaining.

Cornwall won the toss and elected to bat first against Howick Pakuranga. It was left to Issy O’Connell (14*) to top score as the only batter to make double figures, coming in at number 11. Holly Lightbourne was the pick of the Howick bowlers, picking up 3/11 from her four overs, along with 2fers for Neena Woollaston (2/9) and Mansimran Kaur (2/13) to restrict Cornwall to 9/78 from their 20 overs. In response, Howick lost early wickets to Bree Illing (3/8 off 4), Eve Meachen (2/22 off 3), and Amie Hucker (2/15 off 4). Ayaan Lambat top scored with 26 off 23 however Howick fell 15 runs short as they were bowled out for 63 in the 16th over.

Parnell won the toss and sent Auckland University in to bat first. Elizabeth Buchanan (26 off 38) and Prue Catton (35 off 26) got their side off to a solid start, putting on 53 for the first wicket. Jesse Prasad remained unbeaten on 30 off 26 as Mollie Drumm (2/19) and Christelle McGuire (2/32) too 2fers to keep Auckland Uni to 126 from their 20 overs. Regular wickets to start Parnell’s innings meant they were always playing catch-up. Cate Pedersen was at the other end as the first 4 wickets fell for just 21 on the board; she was dismissed for the top score of 15. Most of the bowlers chipped in with a wicket; Zamera Ikiua was the pick with 2/11 from her 4 overs. Auckland University went on to win the match.

Suburbs New Lynn won the toss and elected to bat first against Suburbs New Lynn. Only two batters were able to make it into double figures, thanks to some impressive bowling by Heather Siegers, who took 4/7 off 3.4 overs, and Divyanshi Chauhan, who picked up 2/7 (3 overs). Scout Hallman (18 off 21) and Emily Handyside (16 off 25) helped to take the score to 65 before being bowled out in the 16th over. The Suburbs batters made light work of the total, chasing it down in the 9th over, thanks mainly to Gwen Davies (36 off 28) and Esther Williams (18* off 22).

Cornwall won the toss and elected to bowl first against Parnell. Cate Pedersen got the innings going with 28 off 25. Monique Rees carried on the pressure when Pedersen got out, finishing with an unbeaten run a ball 31. Parnell finished their 20 overs with 117 on the board. Bella Armstrong made 58 off just 42 as the primary contributor in the Cornwall innings. Mollie Drumm picked up 3 of the five wickets to fall, finishing with 3/31; however, it wasn’t enough as Cornwall won by five wickets and 2.3 overs remaining.

Howick Pakuranga won the toss and elected to bat first against Auckland University. Saachi Shahri was the mainstay in the Howick innings, carrying her bat for an unbeaten 56 off 65. Radhika Patel was the other mainstay, contributing 37 of 40 for an opening partnership of 95, helping to set up a target of 118. Caitlin Gurrey (36 off 42) and Zamera Ikiua (24 off 22) helped set up the chase for Uni. Nitya Choudhary picked up 2/14 from 3 overs, keeping the squeeze on and taking it right down to the last over with six runs required. Uni managed to get home with three balls and three wickets to spare.
