Talented left armer pace bowler Ben Lister has been a mainstay of the ACES pace battery for several seasons now.
Bringing the ball back in to left handed batters, Lister moves the ball in the opposite direction to most left arm pace bowlers, making him a point of difference for the ACES against other teams in the country. His increased pace has made him a particular handful in recent seasons and he's now amongst the most successful domestic bowlers in the country.
The 2023/24 Super Smash was a banner campaign for Lister as his 14 wickets at 13.92 led the ACES to the silverware for the first time in almost 10 years. It was no surprise that he was on the BLACKCAPS selectors' radar around this time. Injuries stymied his momentum in the following season but expect a big season ahead for Auckland's spearhead.
