Through a new partnership between Auckland Cricket and Auckland Indoor Cricket, players across the region now have even greater opportunities to stay involved in cricket beyond the summer season.

This collaboration is focused on growing participation and creating more connected experiences between indoor and outdoor cricket. With a shared commitment to fun, inclusive environments, the partnership supports players of all ages and abilities to continue building skills, confidence and a lifelong love of the game.

Indoor cricket plays a key role in this vision - offering a fast-paced format that complements outdoor cricket and keeps players engaged throughout the winter months.


Junior Indoor Cricket

Fast, fun, and perfect for young players

If you’ve enjoyed the outdoor season and want to keep playing, Junior Indoor Cricket is the ideal winter option.

Designed to maximise involvement, indoor cricket helps young players develop core skills in a dynamic and engaging format. Every player is part of the action, building confidence while having fun with teammates.

Why play?

  • Learn to hit into gaps and rotate strike
  • Improve bowling accuracy and control
  • Develop quick reflexes and dynamic fielding skills
  • Build teamwork, resilience and game awareness

Competition Details

  • When: Friday afternoons and early evenings
  • Game Length: Approximately 1 hour
  • Who: Open to players of all experience levels
