Parnell secured a strong 80-run victory over Cornwall, powered by a well-structured batting effort and a disciplined display with the ball.
After choosing to bat first, Parnell built their innings around the composure of Daniel Presland, whose 78 from 119 balls anchored the top order. James Nelson added 69 from 87 at number five, keeping the scoreboard moving, before Nick Tapper delivered a late surge with a rapid 43 off just 18 deliveries. Cornwall’s Matt Gibson worked hard to stem the flow, taking 3 for 45 from his nine overs, but Parnell still posted a competitive 267 for 8.
Cornwall’s chase never fully settled despite a determined effort from middle-order batter Kalhan Marc Challu, who finished unbeaten on 49 from 67. Regular wickets, however, stalled any meaningful momentum. Justin Nori was excellent with the ball for Parnell, taking 3 for 28 from nine overs, while Hayden Dickson added 3 for 39 to keep the pressure on.
Cornwall were eventually dismissed for 187 in the 42nd over, giving Parnell a comfortable victory – their first in this season’s Jeff Crowe Cup.
Takapuna vs East Coast Bays

East Coast Bays held their nerve in a tense finish at Onewa Domain, edging Takapuna by just six runs to hand the hosts their first loss of the season across all formats.
After being sent in, Bays built steadily through the innings, with number three Campbell Knowles compiling a patient 49 from 86 balls. The real spark came late from number ten batter Dion Laban-Jeffries, who struck an energetic 46 off 42 to push the total towards respectability. Takapuna’s attack was led by opening bowler Peter Ruffell, outstanding with 4 for 26 from his full quota, while Toby Stroobant added 4 for 59 to keep constant pressure on the middle and lower order.
Chasing 194, Takapuna appeared well in the contest thanks to contributions from De Strydom (41 off 32) and number five Cam Neal, who top-scored with 42 from 63. However, regular breakthroughs from Bays - and a crucial spell from Blake Jay, who claimed 4 for 36 - kept the chase in check.
Despite battling deep into the 45th over, Takapuna fell just short, bowled out for 187. The result tightens the Jeff Crowe Cup table, though Takapuna remain on top despite their first stumble of the campaign.
North Shore vs Auckland University

Auckland University claimed a valuable 20-run victory at Devonport Domain, lifting themselves to second on the Jeff Crowe Cup table after a disciplined all-round display.
After choosing to bat, Uni made an ideal start through openers Barrington Rowland and Riley McCullum, who put on a 60-run stand. Rowland scored a positive 36 from 37 deliveries, while McCullum contributed 22 from 34 before North Shore began to chip away. The innings then relied on lower-order resistance, with number ten batter Nikheil Bhana producing a crucial unbeaten 40 from 53 balls to push the total to 182. North Shore’s standout performer with the ball was Brandon Mavuta, whose superb 10-over spell returned 3 for 21.
In reply, North Shore struggled for fluency but were kept in the contest by Mavuta, who followed his strong bowling effort with an impressive 59 off 78 at number seven. Despite his resistance, consistent pressure from Auckland University’s bowlers—led by Saksham Singroha with 3 for 37—ensured the chase never fully settled.
North Shore were eventually dismissed for 162 in the 43rd over, giving Auckland University a hard-earned win and strengthening their position near the top of the standings.
Hibiscus Coast vs Birkenhead

Hibiscus Coast powered to a commanding 162-run victory at Victors Eaves Park, driven by a superb century from opener Jithin Ramachandran and a dominant team bowling display.
Batting first, Ramachandran controlled the innings from the outset, compiling an excellent 121 from 140 balls to anchor the Coast’s effort. He received valuable support late in the innings from number six batter Ethan Ramsay, who struck an unbeaten 42 from 36 deliveries to lift the total to an imposing 258 for 8.
Birkenhead’s chase faltered early and never recovered as wickets fell regularly. Brian Barnard showed resistance with 40 off 42 at number four, but he lacked meaningful support. Hibiscus Coast’s bowlers applied pressure throughout, with opening bowler Anuradha Jayampathi leading the way with 3 for 18 from five overs.
Birkenhead were dismissed for 96 inside 28 overs, leaving them still searching for their first Jeff Crowe Cup win of the season.

Grafton vs Suburbs New Lynn

Grafton claimed their first win of the Richard Jones Trophy with an impressive run chase at Victoria Park, overcoming Suburbs New Lynn after a dramatic collapse derailed the visitors’ innings.
Suburbs began strongly after being sent in, cruising to 111 for 1 and looking well-placed for a substantial total. However, with the scoreboard reading the dreaded Nelson (111), the collapse began. Wickets tumbled rapidly as Grafton’s bowlers seized control. Shozib Mirza held the innings together with a patient and composed unbeaten 85 from 121 balls at number three, while opener Shikhar Verma contributed a well-made 54. But beyond that pair, resistance was minimal.
Sineth Gunawardane was superb, taking 4 for 20 from 8.3 overs, while captain Dylan Taylor backed him up with a disciplined 3 for 28 from his full 10 overs, restricting Suburbs to 182.
Grafton’s chase was assertive and well-structured. Taylor set the tone at the top with a fluent 72 from 66 balls, putting his side firmly in control. When he departed, Gunawardane completed a standout all-round performance, guiding the innings with an unbeaten 64 from 78 deliveries at number five.
Despite a tidy spell from Suburbs seamer Sam Devereaux, who claimed 3 for 25 from eight overs, Grafton reached the target comfortably in the 35th over to secure a confident six-wicket victory and their first points of the competition.
Papatoetoe vs Ellerslie

Ellerslie secured their first win of the season with a convincing 83-run victory over Papatoetoe at the Rec, built on a composed batting effort and a well-rounded bowling performance.
After being sent in, Ellerslie produced a steady and structured innings. Opener Shannon Wimalaratne anchored the top order with a patient 54 from 89 balls, while Adi Ogra added 41 from 66 to keep the scoreboard moving through the middle overs. Papatoetoe’s Nav Aujla was the standout with the ball, taking 3 for 48 from his 10 overs, but Ellerslie still worked their way to a competitive 249 for 8 from their 50.
Papatoetoe’s chase struggled to generate momentum as regular wickets kept them behind the game. Number four batter Sukhdev Sukh showed resistance with a determined unbeaten 49 from 77 balls, but lacked meaningful support around him. Ellerslie’s attack shared the workload well, highlighted by Nick Fitzgerald’s sharp 3 for 18 from 4 overs and Devam Shah’s hardworking 3 for 47 off his full 10.
Papatoetoe were eventually dismissed for 166 in the 40th over, sealing a comprehensive victory for Ellerslie and getting them on the board in the Richard Jones Trophy.
Howick Pakuranga vs Waitakere

Waitakere maintained their unbeaten run in the Richard Jones Trophy with a thrilling two-wicket victory over Howick Pakuranga, clinched with a six off the penultimate ball of the match.
Howick Pakuranga’s innings was built around a superb century from number four batter Adam Jones, who struck 102 from 96 balls to hold the innings together. He was well supported by Vir Chib’s composed 60 from 81 at number three and opener Kavi Minhas, who added 46 from 50. Waitakere’s strike bowler Mitchel Atkins delivered the key breakthroughs, finishing with 4 for 49 from 7.4 overs to help restrict the hosts to 280.
In response, Waitakere produced a measured and determined chase. Captain and opener Tejas Patel led from the front with an excellent 104 from 108 balls, setting a strong platform. Number three batter Prasansana Jayamanne added a crucial 70 from 101, keeping the pursuit steady through the middle overs. With the match still in the balance late, Sachin Variath played a decisive cameo, hammering 37 not out from 22 deliveries and sealing the win with a six with one ball remaining.
Waitakere reached 286 for 8 in 49.5 overs, completing a dramatic win and preserving their perfect record in the competition.
Eden Roskill vs Kumeu

Eden Roskill powered to a convincing seven-wicket win over Kumeu, completing the chase inside 26 overs and sealing the result in style with a six.
Kumeu’s innings never fully recovered after a disastrous start that saw them slump to 36 for 5, contributing to a notably old-fashioned run rate across the 50 overs. A determined effort from number six batter Tejas Gemlawala kept the innings afloat, grinding out an unbeaten 42 from 100 balls. Eden Roskill’s opening bowler Harjot Johal was superb, taking 2 for 17 from his full 10 overs to set the tone early.
Eden Roskill wasted no time in reply. Opener Swayam Desai struck a fluent 53 from 52 deliveries to break the back of the chase, while Johal capped an excellent all-round performance with a steady 35 not out from 41 balls at number four. With the required rate long under control, Eden Roskill crossed the line at 172 for 3 in 25.5 overs, finishing the match with a clean strike over the boundary.
The win continues Eden Roskill’s strong form in the Richard Jones Trophy, where they currently sit second on the table.

Howick Pakuranga vs Takapuna

Howick Pakuranga claimed a dominant Prichard Cup victory, defending their total with a superb all-round bowling effort led by Ayaan Lambat.
Batting first, Howick Pakuranga were anchored by opener McKenzie Grobbelaar, who battled through the innings for a patient 49 from 122 balls. Her stability allowed the home side to build steadily before Ayaan Lambat injected late momentum with an unbeaten 37 from 45 deliveries at number seven. Taila Hurley was the pick of Takapuna’s bowlers, taking an excellent 3 for 19 from her eight overs.
Takapuna’s chase struggled to gain traction. Only opener Nelita Pistorius offered meaningful resistance with 22 from 27, as wickets fell regularly against a disciplined attack. Lambat capped her outstanding day by tearing through the middle order, taking 5 for 18 in a match-winning six-over spell.
Takapuna were dismissed for 67 in the 23rd over, giving Howick Pakuranga a comprehensive 89-run win.
Auckland University vs. Suburbs New Lynn

Auckland University produced a clinical all-round performance to claim a dominant nine-wicket win over Suburbs New Lynn in the Prichard Cup.
Suburbs battled hard after being sent in but found scoring difficult throughout the innings. Anika Tauwhare showed admirable patience for her 20 from 75 balls at number three, while Miah Smith added a bright 20 from 22 from the lower order. However, regular wickets and sustained pressure from the University attack kept the hosts contained. Nensi Patel was outstanding, taking 3 for 8 from 7.3 overs in a miserly and decisive spell.
Chasing 97, Auckland University were in control from the outset. Caitlin Gurrey led the pursuit with a fluent unbeaten 51 from 46 deliveries, ensuring the result was never in doubt. The visitors cruised to 97 for 1 in just 16.2 overs to secure a convincing victory and continue their strong run in the competition.
North Shore vs Parnell

Parnell claimed a well-constructed six-wicket win over North Shore, built on disciplined bowling and a composed chase led by Yasmeen Kareem.
North Shore’s innings never fully settled despite a determined effort from opener Jessie Canty, who carried the top order with a patient 49 from 101 balls. Tash Wakelin provided some momentum with a brisk 31 from 27 at number three, but consistent breakthroughs from Parnell limited any larger partnerships. Christelle McGuire was the most effective of the attack, taking 4 for 35 in an influential seven-over spell.
Chasing 148, Parnell relied on the calm presence of Kareem, who anchored the innings superbly with an unbeaten 79 from 105 balls. Her innings ensured that Parnell remained in control throughout, steadily guiding the visitors to 148 for 4 in the 34th over and sealing a confident Prichard Cup victory.

Howick Pakuranga vs Cornwall

Howick Pakuranga continued their outstanding start to the Prichard Cup season, securing a fourth consecutive victory with a comfortable eight-wicket win over Cornwall.
Cornwall battled their way to 136 for 8 from 40 overs, anchored by opener Annie Ewart, who showed resilience during her 49 from 102 balls. However, regular wickets prevented her side from accelerating at any stage, leaving Howick Pakuranga with a manageable target.
In response, Howick Pakuranga produced a composed and confident chase. Opener Holly Topp guided the innings with a steady unbeaten 56 from 85 balls, while Josie Penfold added fluency with an unbeaten 40 from 39 deliveries. Together, they steered the hosts to 137 for 2 in the 31st over, sealing another assured win.
The result keeps Howick Pakuranga firmly at the top of the Prichard Cup table, maintaining their perfect record four matches into the season.
Takapuna vs Auckland University

Auckland University claimed a dominant Prichard Cup victory at Onewa Domain, driven by a superb unbeaten century from Prue Catton and a clinical bowling display led by Kate Duffield.
Batting first, University produced one of their strongest innings of the season. Opener Catton was outstanding, compiling 115 not out from 119 balls in an innings that blended control with regular boundary hitting. She was well supported by Kayley Knight, whose lively 51 not out from 37 deliveries powered the visitors to an imposing 241 for 4 from their 40 overs.
Takapuna faced immediate pressure in the chase, and although opener Nelita Pistorius fought hard for her 45 from 56 balls, wickets fell steadily around her. Duffield’s incisive spell dismantled the middle and lower order, finishing with exceptional figures of 5 for 11 from 4.5 overs.
Takapuna were eventually dismissed for 103, giving Auckland University a commanding 138-run win and maintaining their push near the top of the Prichard Cup standings.
Suburbs New Lynn vs North Shore

North Shore claimed their first win of the Prichard Cup season with a composed six-wicket victory over Suburbs New Lynn at Ken Maunder Park.
Suburbs made a promising start through opener Amelia Harvey, who struck 26 from 34 balls, but the innings quickly unravelled under outstanding spells from North Shore’s attack. Legspinner Rishika Jaswal was superb, taking 5 for 14 from her eight overs, while Jess Smith backed her up expertly with 4 for 28. Their combined pressure saw Suburbs dismissed for 115 in the 32nd over.
In reply, North Shore built steadily around opener Jessie Canty, whose patient 46 from 72 balls anchored the chase. While Suburbs picked up a few wickets along the way, the target was never out of reach, and North Shore reached 116 for 4 in the 27th over to seal a confidence-boosting first win of the campaign.
