Auckland Cricket Launches Regional Development Programme for 2025/26

Auckland Cricket Association (ACA) has announced a new Regional Development Programme to expand access to cricket development across Auckland. Set to launch this winter, the initiative introduces six male and four female Talent Hubs across the region for U19 and U17 boys, and U19 and U16 girls, with younger age groups to follow in 2026/27.

The hubs will offer coaching in skills development, strength and conditioning, nutrition, mental skills, and throwing technique. Key nomination and programme dates begin July 1, with talent hub sessions running from August to October.

ACA will also launch new Regional Tournaments, replacing District events as the main selection pathway for national tournament teams. Participation in both the regional tournaments and subsequent trials will be required for selection.

The programme includes a user-pays element, with ACA focused on affordability and local accessibility.
