About the role

The Howick Pakuranga Cricket Club is seeking Expressions of Interest for an experienced and passionate Premier Men's Cricket Coach to lead and develop our top-level cricket team. This is a contract position based at Lloyd Elsmore Park in Pakuranga, Auckland, offering the opportunity to make a significant impact on the success of our premier men's squad.

What you'll be doing

• Overseeing all aspects of training, coaching and match preparation for the premier men's squad
• Developing and implementing effective training programmes to improve individual/team skills and fitness
• Providing tactical guidance and support to the team during matches
• Working to identify and develop talented players and preparing them for higher level cricket
• Overseeing the selection process for all Premiership teams, and ensuring clear communication and feedback on all selections
• Ensuring the squad upholds the club's values, and maintains a positive culture and environment
• Reporting on team performance and providing recommendations for improvement

What we're looking for

• Extensive experience as a cricket coach, preferably at a premier or representative level
• Strong knowledge of cricket tactics, technical skills and player development
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with players
• Experience in building and developing positive team cultures
• Strong people management skills with a collaborative approach to achieving success
• Ability to analyse team and player performance and implement strategic improvements
• Relevant coaching qualifications or certifications

What we offer

This is a part-time fixed term contract role offering a competitive remuneration package subject to experience and qualification. Starting date TBC with consideration given to pre-season planning and sessions.
