Parnell hosted Auckland University for the final of the Jeff Crowe Cup. Auckland University won the toss and sent the hosts in to bat first. Nick Stobart (2/51 off 10) got University off to a good start as he picked up two early wickets, bringing Aniket Parikh to the crease to join Will Ormiston. The pair put on 96 for the third wicket, Ormiston making 32 and Parikh making his side’s top score of 64 until he was dismissed by Kieran Mackenzie (2/65 off 10). Daniel Presland (51 off 45), Flynn McGregor-Sumpter (33), and Nikith Perera (35 off 21) were the next men in, carrying on the momentum and setting Parnell up to a competitive total, wnding their innings 8/277.
With the visitors needing 278 to win, Barrington Rowland’s experience came into play as he partnered with Nathan Robinson, putting on 103 for the third wicket. Rowland scored 57, while Robinson was eventually dismissed by Harry Cullen-Hieatt for 90, after contributing 50 runs for the fourth wicket alongside Jono Low. The opening pair of Cullen-Hieatt, who took 4 wickets for 61 runs off 10 overs, and Jack Dymond, with 3 wickets for 51 runs off 10 overs, kept Parnell in the game throughout the second innings. However, Low proved to be the game changer, making 67 off 46 balls before being dismissed by Dymond; by that point, the damage was done, as his side needed just four runs to win. Auckland University going on to win the Jeff Crowe Cup by 2 wickets and with 2.3 overs remaing.

The final of the Richard Jones Trophy saw Grafton hosting Birkenhead, fighting for the trophy and promotion into the Jeff Crowe Cup for the 2025/26 season. Birkenhead won the toss and elected to bat first. Ross Ter Braak got things going for Grafton, picking up an early wicket, however, it was a team display with contributions from 2-7 with runs. James Newman (59 off 48) and James O’Brien (54*) went past 50, Ashail Kariyawasam (42) and Dinesh Kharel (40) made it into the 40’s, and Parikshith Narsimhan (38 off 35) and Brian Barnard (38) made it into the 30’s and Mayur Masand finished the innings making 18 off 9, all contributing to their side’s score of 300. Five of the seven Grafton bowlers chipped in with a wicket to go with a runout to leave them 6 down at the end of their 50 overs.
Dylan Taylor (38 off 33) and Taine Bayly (41 off 40) got their side off to a strong start putting on 79 for the first wicket until they both fell to Dinesh Kharel (3/51 off 10). Garth Olliff (61 off 55) and Sineth Gunawardane (31) put on 73 for the fourth wicket, keeping Grafton in the game. Back to back wickets to Damen Oelofse (3/18 off 6) and James Newman (2/22 off 4) quickly changed the momentum. Fraser Campbell did what he could, making 42 off 33 and was the last man dismissed, however it wasn’t enough as Birkenhead went on to win the Richard Jones Trophy by 48 runs.

Takapuna began the day 4/60 in their second innings with Tristan Van Ingen-Kal unbeaten on 34, ending the innings unbeaten on a run a ball 130. Lucas Dasent took 6 of the last 7 wickets on his way to take 7/74 from 25 overs, helping to bowl Takapuna out for 196.
Chasing 206 to reverse the first innings result and win outright, Sam Crooks fought hard and top-scored with 43 off 112 balls, followed by Jamie Hayes, who scored 40. It was a day for left-arm spinners, as 13 of the 16 wickets fell to them. Matt Jones took 6 wickets for just 29 runs off 26 overs, helping to bowl Cornwall out for 128 and claiming first innings and outright points.

Suburbs New Lynn began the day 1/59, chasing Bay’s score of 228 to win the first innings. Shikhar Verma, not out overnight, made 65, as did Jaskaran Sandhu as they got their side agonisingly close to winning first innings. The spinning duo of Ryan Schierhout (2/44 off 20) and Brodie Harrison (2/30 off 15) kept Bays in the game picking up crucial middle order wickets and not letting Suburbs get away, Dion Laban Jeffries also picking up 2 wickets, 2/43 off 12 overs. Suburbs were 7/212 needing just 17 to win, lost 3/1 at the end, Sandhu the last man dismissed to Phil Mecredy who took 3/47, just 15 runs behind Bay’s first score.
Trying to maximise their lead and the remaining time in the game, Bays went about setting up a total of second innings. Ryan Schierhout got the innings going with 30 off 18, but Brodie Harrison really kicked off making 26 off 8, including 4 sixes and striking at 325. Ryan Harrison top scored with 41 off 20, and Harry Vest finished the innings 28 off 26 Bay’s making 7-dec/172 off 19 overs.
Requiring 188 to win off 19 overs, it was Bays, through Blair Smith (3/28 off 4) who got off to the better start as Smith took 3 early wickets, leaving Suburbs 3/15. With the game evenly poised, Sean Playle (41 off 28) and Sandhu 59 for the fourth wicket and keeping Suburbs in the match. Sandhu remained not out on 64 as Suburbs went into survival mode and saw out the rest of the day 6 down. Bay’s winning first innings points.

Parnell began the day 0/2 as they embarked on trying to chase down Auckland Uni’s score of 325. Will Ormiston, opening the batting, saw early wickets fall around him on his way to 36. Flynn McGregor-Sumpter used all his experience as he went on to top score with 55, but arguably more importantly, he faced 169 balls in doing so. Nikheil Bhana took 4/65, Kieran Mackenzie took 2/57, including the big wicket of McGregor-Sumpter. It was down to the lower order to see out the day as chasing the score became increasingly out of reach. Jack Dymond finished the day 32* off 95 balls, and last man in Yatin Ramesh faced 30 balls for his 10* as Parnell went on to hold on for a draw.

North Shore began Day 2 on 5/127, chasing Grafton’s first innings score of 260. Max Clarke was the first man out for the top score of 69. Will Clarke made 26 off 41. However, with few other contributions, North Shore was bowled out for 207. Taine Bayly, 4/85, and Anurag Narula, 2/14 off 9.3, were the pick of the bowlers.
Grafton took no risks in allowing North Shore any outright points, forcing them to bowl them out if they wanted a score to chase. Alex Edwards (39) and Taine Bayly (41) contributed, but it was Jack Duffy who made the most of his time in the middle, scoring an unbeaten 103. Jordan Gatley (3/48) and Rory Bessell (3/71) each took three wickets, with Krissie Mistry (2/39) and Will Clarke (1/76) also contributing with wickets. However, it was only enough to leave Grafton 9 down at the end of the day, resulting in Grafton winning the first innings points.

After finishing the day 0/5, Ellerslie had the task of putting together a big score and pushing for a reverse outright after Eden Roskill won the first innings on Day 1. Both openers dug in, Shannon Wimalaratne facing 96 balls for 15 runs and Adi Ogra facing 80 balls for 28 runs, trying to take time out of the game. Parth Patel scored 55; however, Rajat Choudhary's dominant bowling display made things difficult for Ellerslie and put Roskill in a dominant position. Backing up his 7 wickets in the first innings, Choudhary took 6/52 off 24.2 overs, helping to bowl Ellerslie out for 152.
Requiring 86 to win outright, Eden Roskill’s openers Swayam Desai (45 off 40), and Syed Mujtaba (33* off 33) ensured that there was to be no twist in the tale and put on 78 for the first wicket. Roskill completed a dominant display, winning the first innings and outright points, and keeping their hopes of winning the competition alive.

Birkenhead resumed Day 2 3/117, looking to turn that score into a dominant one, pushing for first innings and outright points. Brian Barnard, who started the day on 28*, was the highlight of the innings making 174 off 165, and was well supported by Damen Oelofse (54) as the pair put on 180 for the fourth wicket and put Birkenhead well and truly in the driver’s seat. Barnard the last man to fall with the score on 6-dec/327.
Starting their second innings 159 runs behind, Waitakere struggled from the outset, losing their first 2 wickets for just 8 runs. Mayur Masand took the first 3 wickets on his way to take 7/31 off just 13 overs and almost single-handedly bowl Waitakere out for just 72, giving Birkenhead first innings and outright points, winning by an innings and 87 runs.

Papatoetoe starting the day at 4/90 chasing Kumeu’s first innings score of 354. Papatoetoe couldn’t make it to lunch before being bowled out for 178, Ritapraj Gill top scoring with 75. Kiran Ahir was the chief destroyer, taking 5/40, and was well supported by Tauseef Satti, who took 3/21.
Having secured first innings points, Kumeu looked to set up an opportunity to win outright by using the 176 run first innings and sending Papatoetoe back in, enforcing the follow-on. Papatoetoe’s openers put on 190 for the first wicket, going past Kumeu’s lead, as they both passed 100. Austin Sood made 118 and Prabjyot Rehal made 146, the momentum was carried on by Sukhdev Sukh who made a quick-fire 81 off 45 coming in at 3, pushing to reverse the first innings result and get outright points, declaring on 4-dec/370.
With 25 overs left in the day, Kumeu was chasing 195 to win outright, and Papatoetoe was looking for 10 wickets. Early and regular wickets ruled out the opportunity for Kumeu to chase the 195, which brought Papatoetoe firmly into the game. Herschele Hendricks took 3/10 off 7, Avnit Prasad took 2/50, and Manav Kumar took 2 for just 6 off 7 overs to get Kumeu 7 down. However, Papatoetoe ran out of time at the end of the day. The final result was that Kumeu won first-inning points.

Howick were made to fight hard for their wickets with most of the top 5 digging in and facing a number of balls, none more so than Anuradha Jayampathi who fell agonisingly short of his hundred, making 99 off 154. Aditya Rangwani provided great support making 81 off 143 as the pair put on 120 for the fourth wicket. Most of the bowlers chipped in with a wicket, Selwin Sanjay taking 3/96 from 32 overs, and Sam Molloy 2/49 the main wicket takers. The day finished prematurely as Lloyd Elsmore was hit by rain, removing any chance for either side to win the first innings, the match ending as a draw.

Caitlin Gurrey got her team off to a great start, scoring 90 off just 68 balls, and was well supported by Zamera Ikiua, who contributed 56 off 88, forming a partnership of 108 for the second wicket. Sofia Samuels took 2/46 off seven overs to help get Uni 6/239 at the end of their 40 overs. In response, Annie Ewart made 41 off 50 opening the batting and getting her side off to a good start, putting on 63 for the first wicket, while her opening partner went on to top score with 63 before she became the first of two Eli McKenna wickets as she went on to take 2/33. Claire Crooks carried on the momentum, making 45, however, with little support around her, it made things tough. Makayla Templeton also took two wickets, 2/34, as Cornwall were restricted to 7/194. Auckland University went on to win the match by 45 runs.

Nellie Chapman (3/31 off 8) and Kaitlyn Halliday (2/28 off 7) were the pick of the bowlers for Takapuna as they had Parnell 8/199 at the end of their 40 overs. Chasing 200 to win, Takapuna were put under early pressure losing their first 3 wickets with just 11 runs on the board. Monique Way (33 off 60) fought hard as she watched 6 of her batting partners come and go until she was the 8th wicket to fall. The Parnell bowlers proving too strong with Ana Wijffels taking 3/17, Samantha Brake-Howard 2/17 and Ella Drumm taking 2 wickets for just 3 runs off 4 overs, as Takapuna were restricted to 9/70 off 25 overs. Parnell won the match by 129 runs.

Ayaan Lambat top scored for Howick with 24, with Japman Jawanda (13) the only player to make it into double digits. Rishika Jaswal took 3/8from 4 overs, Mia Chatterton took 2/21, and Meddy Hyde and Jess Smith chipped in with a wicket each as Howick were bowled out for just 79. Jessie Canty (22) and Neve Andersen (20) broke the back of the chase making 34 for the first wicket before Neena Woollaston dismissed both openers. The damage, however, was already done as Jaswal (16*) and Emily Handyside (13*) saw their side home with 8 wickets and 27.4 overs to spare.
