Parnell Cricket Club (PCC) is NZ's oldest cricket club and was established in 1858.  Over many years we have evolved into one of Auckland’s largest and most successful cricket clubs and we are currently seeking a new Club General Manager. 

The club has over 750 players, including in excess of 600 juniors.  We have a rich history of success with over 40 past and current NZ representatives (male and female) including 2 current BLACKCAPS and 6 x Major Association players in our membership.  We are equally passionate about the male and female games and have passionate administrators driving for success on both fronts.   PCC was Auckland Cricket’s Club of the Year in both the 2019/20 and 2020/21 seasons. This season (2023 / 24) we have had arguably our most successful Senior Club season ever with wins in the Auckland Men’s T20 competition, the Auckland Women’s T20 competition and the Auckland Women’s One Day competition. 

They have excellent indoor training facilities (Terry Jarvis Centre, opened in 2010), 11 outdoor lanes on Shore Rd and Bloodworth Park, and top-quality grass wickets.  We have a thriving clubroom with a fully functioning bar that serves both our Club and the community.  We are keen to build a programme of Events that realises the full potential of this wonderful asset. 

The successful candidate will manage the entire operations of the Club across the junior and senior sections managing the delivery of our cricket programmes throughout the year.  This role will also lead, coach and develop all Club coaches and administration staff and the role will work closely with the club’s 7-person Board to implement the club’s 5-year Strategic Plan.

In this role you will foster relationships at all levels across the Auckland Cricket region and build on the momentum that has been created in recent years. Whilst sound operations, risk management, people management skills and financial understanding are essential, innovation, drive and enthusiasm are strongly encouraged. 

This position is full time, 12 months of the year, and has 6 direct reports (one Club Administrator and 5 professional coaches).   In summer months a degree of weekend work may be required to cover preparation and troubleshooting for matches on Saturdays and the occasional duplication for more occasional Sunday fixtures.  Appropriate time in lieu will be agreed.
