Krissie Mistry got his side off to the perfect start with 2 wickets in his first 2 legal deliveries, finishing with figures of 5/62 off 10 overs. However, those two wickets meant that Brodie Harrison joined Ryan Schierhout at the crease, and those two put on 270 for the 3rd wicket, Harrison making 156 off 124, including 6x6’s, and Schierhout making 121 off 114. Jordan Gatley eventually dismissed them both on his way to taking 4/56 off 9.4 overs. In reply, the hosts got off to a good start with a 56 being put on for the first wicket before Juandre Johnson was dismissed for 42 off 25. Daniel ODriscoll (65 off 64) and Jock McKenzie (84 off 96) put on 104 for the 3rd wicket. McKenzie went on to pout on another 112 for the 4th wicket with Riley Mudford (73 off 50). Just when Shore was starting to flick the switch, Bays were able to pick up regular wickets through Phil Mecredy (3/71 off 10), Blair Smith (2/32 off 7), and Dion Laban-Jeffries (2/70 off 10) and were able to get Bays home with a 6 run victory in a final over thriller.

Wickets were shared around for the Hibiscus bowlers, with Anuradha Jayampathi, the main wicket-taker, with 3/34 from 8, Ramesh Lakmal (2/34 off 10) and Umesh Ranaraja (2/3 from his 1 over) also chipping in with 2 wickets. Takapuna got their bowling innings off to the perfect start with a wicket of the first ball going to Peter Ruffell, taking 3/35 off 10 overs. Umesh Ranaraja showed some fight with the bat top scoring with the match with 82 off 106, and Aditya Rangwani making 32 off 44, however Matt Jones dismissed them both on his way to taking 5/34 off 9.2 overs and bowling Takapuna to victory.

There were strong starts from most of the top and middle order; however, only Tom Jones managed to make it past 50, finishing with 63 off 74; Dimithri Gallage was next best with 43 off 57. Nikheil Bhana did the most damage with the ball, picking up 4/36 from his 10 overs, with 2fers to Nick Stobart (2/443 off 10) and Angus Olliver (2/56 off 10) helping to restrict Cornwall to 256 from their 50 overs. Regular wickets for Cornwall shared between most of the bowlers made it a tough chase for Auckland Uni. However, a run-a-ball 104 for Nathan Robinson kept them in the game. It was down to numbers 9 and 10 to finish the job, with Olliver (22* off 18) and Kieren Mackenzie (20* off 16) managing to see their side home in another match, making it all the way to the 100th over.

In reply, Patel, coming in at number 4, remained unbeaten on 52 off 82 as he saw his side home, with the other main contributor being Shannon Wimalaratne scoring 29 from 28. Gwen Davies led the chase for the hosts, scoring 55 off 40; however, without support or anyone able to score better than a run a ball, Suburbs ended up falling short. Renee Macmillan (3/19) and Mollie Drumm (3/22) picked up 6 wickets between them from their 8 overs and helped bowl Parnell to a 48-run win.
