Central were never in the hunt despite a fighting 46 from Sophie Davies and 37 from all rounder Kelly Rangi and were all out in 46 overs.

Renee Moffitt was the pick of the Wellington bowling attack with three for 32.

Northern Districts vs Otago

Otago 133 (Foote 29; Kirkbride 3/8, Mulcahy 2/10) lost to Northern Districts 134/8 (Arndt 41, Forster 40; Foote 2/14, Osborne 2/21) by two wickets.

Central bowler Sanika Rangnekar was outstanding taking four for 38 including two wickets in two balls.

Captain Esther Lanser got the reply off to a great start with 31 but the rest of the Central batsmen fell easily to hand Auckland a comfortable 34 run win.
