MILO Cup and MILO Shield
Year 7 and 8 School's competition
The MILO Cup and MILO Shield are New Zealand's prestigious National year 7 & 8 School’s Cricket competitions. Having started in 2000, the competitions give primary and intermediate boys and girls the opportunity to enter into a national competition and encourage children to play cricket. In 2009 a record number 0f 373 schools and 4476 children have taken part in the MILO Cup or MILO Shield competitions making it one of the largest primary school sporting competitions in New Zealand.

2009 Tournament:
The 2009 Auckland competition has now been completed with champions being found in both the Cup and Shield! Viscount have again proven to be the dominant force in Intermediate girls cricket with a 10 wicket win in the final aginst Mt Roskill Intermediate. They will now go on to play Otomoetai Intermediate from Tauranga to see who will advance to the nationals.
In the boys MILO Cup competition Bucklands Beach Intermedaite has prevailed against Rosmini in a tight final by 6 runs! The news only gets better, as Bucklands Beach have also qualified for the Nationals by beating Fairburn Intermediate from Hamilton in another nail-biting match!
