 The Aces captain is a man who has been a proven performer over a number of years and for a number of provinces.
Coming to Auckland by way of Northern Districts, Canterbury and Otago Gareth slotted into the Aces team perfectly when he arrived, proving to be a man who could always be relied upon to score runs at crucial times as well as having one of the safest pairs of hands in the country.
He was a crucial component in the Aces one day victory last year as he scored a century and a couple of fifties, and lead them expertly in both that competition and in the HRV Cup as well.
