Q4. Hi, Do you have tips for coaching my 4 year old son at home?

A. At this age they don't need or shouldn't get to much guided coaching, more just play fun games in the hallway, backyard, or at the local park. Get him to do everything from batting, bowling and fielding, and make it is as fun as possible. Every now then mabe give him a tip on how to hold a bat, play a shot, catch a ball, etc. Also get him to watch a bit of cricket as he will pick little tips up from watching the worlds best. Don't expect him to become a complete cricket player over night, most important at this stage, just play fun small games and let him do a bit of everything!

Please note - your question will be posted on this page so that other coaches can see the answers and use it to benefit them as well.
