Foundations for the West Stand concourse
It's been a while since we last wandered round the construction zone that is Eden Park and it would be an understatement to say that much has happened.
The eastern stand, formerly the terraces, already has a couple of tiers in place with the first bank of seating visible. In the next few weeks this stand will be linked up with the South Stand as the concourse that will eventually encompass the ground starts to take shape.
The South Stand itself is rapidly heading towards a finished article with the roof almost completely in place, wiring and cabling going in, and windows now in place in many areas.
The next most visible addition will be the "skin" that wraps around the shell of the stand in similar fashion to stadiums that were on show at the Beijing Olympics.
And progress has also begun on the construction of the concourse on the back of the West Stand, with foundations going in rapidly. This concourse, when complete, will connect the new South Stand with the ASB Stand.
But don't just take our word for it, have a look at the pics and video below, as well as in our photo gallery.
